Contemporaries 2026
8 May- 5 June 2026

Artwork: Simon Parker

overview

Contemporaries 2026 is a real-time look at what is happening in art studios right now. This exhibition brings together brand-new pieces alongside long-term projects that artists are still working on and refining today. It offers a glimpse into the creative process as it unfolds, showing how artists are constantly in motion, whether they are suddenly changing styles or diving deeper into ideas they have been exploring for years.

With works from all over the world, the collection shows how people from different places are reacting to the same global changes. It is less about looking at “finished” objects and more about seeing the raw thinking and effort behind them. Whether an artist works with a strict plan or just follows their gut, each piece is a personal note on what it feels like to live in the world today.

By sharing these different stories, the exhibition captures the fast pace of modern life and the many ways we try to make sense of it. These works aren’t just things to look at; they are active records of someone thinking and learning in the moment. It is a reminder that artists are always watching and reacting, proving that art is a living, breathing work in progress.
