Where Goes Your Heart, 2023. Oil on canvas, 120×100 cm, £3.000

What makes something usual, and what marks it as unusual? This exhibition brings together artists who approached this question from very different angles.
Some works turn to reality itself, offering representations that bend or reframe the familiar. Others use traditional techniques to draw attention to details we might normally overlook, letting the unusual emerge from within the ordinary. Still others experiment with materials or methods, assembling them in ways that shift our sense of recognition.
The result is a constellation of interpretations — diverse in form, medium, and sensibility — yet connected by a shared curiosity about how boundaries blur between the common and the uncanny, the expected and the surprising.
Taken together, the exhibition itself forms an unusual collection, a dialogue of perspectives that transforms the familiar into something new.
(UN)USUAL invites you to explore these perspectives and to consider: perhaps the unusual is always present, waiting to be noticed.
